My New Music Project: The Local Strangers

//**EDIT – I’ve wanted to put up an updated post, as this band has done some really amazing things in the last year, but I’ve failed.  If it’s for nostalgia’s sake, read on.  If you actually want to check out the band, go to www.thelocalstrangers.com and ignore these old demo videos, for now **//

As I’ve said many times on this blog, upon moving to Seattle I didn’t know anyone who did music here.  I was fortunate, however, to receive the wisdom of many great musicians – often via interviews posted here – so by moving day I had abandoned the “hit the ground running” strategy in favor of a “be open, learn, grow, and see who you connect with,” type strategy.

Five months later, I’m absolutely delighted to share with you an exciting new music project called The Local Strangers featuring musical kindred spirit and fellow Mid-by-Northwest transplant Aubrey Zoli.

We’re still working out some things around the edges – learning a lot as we go – but just couldn’t wait any longer to give you a little sneak peek (albeit imperfect). So here are a few quick & dirty YouTube Demos so you can get a feel for what we’re up to and where this train is headed.

You can get a sneak preview of our new website at www.TheLocalStrangers.com.  Be sure to sign up on our email list, as we’ll be sending out all of our debut EP when it’s done, and please do us the honor of Facebooking and YouTubing us.

Enjoy the videos, and let us know what you think!
